Synopsis

Small towns aren’t meant for billionaire Movie Stars, but somehow, Sutton Silvers fits right in. I know I should ignore him, the diner regular with his easy charm and quiet intensity. He belongs to another world, one of flashing cameras, billion-dollar contracts, and fake Hollywood smiles. I belong here, in the safety of routine. In the safety of Whispers.

But Sutton sees through the walls I’ve built, through the secret past I keep hidden. He should walk away, just like I should guard my heart. But there’s something about him, the way he looks at me like I’m worth the risk, that has me wanting more.

I know better than to dream of a future with a man like him. And yet, when danger starts creeping closer, he’s the one stepping in, refusing to let me face it alone. He has a choice to leave Hollywood behind or risk it all for the chance that I’m his forever.

And me? I have a choice too.

Run again. Or finally let someone catch me.

My Thoughts

If you are looking for a book that has a bit of mystery and spice, Sutton by Samantha Skye is that book. While I did read the e-book first, I was excited to pick up the audiobook and hear the story come alive. I was glad that I did because I was not disappointed in this audiobook. Duncan Cole and June DeBorahae sounded just like I thought Nikki and Sutton would. And the fact that this was a Duet narration, they were the characters even during the other persons point of view.

Sutton is a great story that, to me, shows how a family bond can grow or break during something. And also how grief can take over someone. Samantha Skye Does a great job with character growth in her stories, and Sutton is now different. If you have never read any books in this series, that is okay. While characters from past books do show up in this book, they act more like side characters. So if you want to dive right in and see how a movie star becomes a real hero, you can.

Sutton, the audiobook is out now and available wherever you get your audiobooks. And if you are a KOBO Plus member, this audiobook is included in your membership.

I would like to thank Samantha Skye for the ALC Copy of this book.Getting the ALC Copy did not influence my thoughts on the book as they are all my own.
